West Aleppo Death Toll Rises To 70 After Terrorist Attack, First Female Mayor Appointed


Death toll from terrorist attack targeted at civilian buses in Al-Rashideen, Aleppo has risen to 70, local sources in Syria reported that among the 70 dead bodies were 39 children present on the bus before the attack. The buses left the towns of Al-Fou’aa and Kafraya on Saturday before making a brief stop in the Al-Rashideen area of Aleppo. No group has claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack yet; however, Faylaq Al-Sham did express disapproval on this attack.

The Syrian Government appointed Carol Juzayf Gange as mayor of the Al-Hazzazah District of Aleppo City on Friday. Gange; Age 42, born in the City of Aleppo had a career in politics, and several other roles in the municipal government of Aleppo. Gange however becomes the first woman to be elected mayor of any district in the history of Syria.
